Around 9 pm on Sunday, 26th of October, 2 students were killed and 1 wounded in a shooting at the University of Central Arkansas (UCA). This incident adds another one to the series of shooting and aggression incidents across the schools and colleges in United States.  It is to be noted that just a fews days ago on the 22nd of October, there were reports of shooting at the Western Kentucky University. Although, there was no confirmation of any shooting as such, but it caused the University campus at Kentucky to be locked for over 3 hours.

The police spokeswoman of UCA, Lt. Rhonda Swindle, confirmed that the shooting happened on Sunday night near the male dormitory and the police was on the spot within minutes. All victims of the shooting were male. One of them died on the spot while the other one was brought to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. The third victim escaped with minor injuries.

Although UCA President Tom Courtway assured that the all precautions were being taken to ensure safety of the students in the dormitories, it is still to be found why and how this shooting incident could take place.

The exact reason behind the shooting is still not known but 4 people are being suspected. One of these people is said to have been taken into custody while the other three are on the run.
